Solo Snare Drum Concert
Artist: Hubert Zemler
A percussionist, composer, music producer, and improviser who moves freely between musical categories. He is a renowned interpreter of new music, a jazz drummer, and the author of solo albums bordering on avant-garde, electronic, and ethnic music. He also creates soundtracks for films, animations, theatrical plays, and sound installations. An active member of the Warsaw independent music scene centered around the LADO ABC association.
He co-creates the bands Magneto, Opla (with Piotr Bukowski), CEL (a duo with Felix Kubin), Zemiter (with Marcin Dymiter), and the performance-music group Proszek (alongside Oskar Dawicki, Piotr Adamski, and Mikołaj Małek). His work focuses on the subtle crossing of stylistic boundaries while maintaining organicity and a distinct emotional message.
The concert will take place at the temporary premises of Obcy język at ul. Grodzka 7, 3rd floor, in Szczecin at 6:00 PM. It will be streamed live via the Instagram account @obcy_jezyk. The recording of the concert will be available to see and hear during the upcoming installments of the program: the two exhibitions by Obcy język – "Everyone Knows a Dog" and "Pulcinella or an Open Secret."
